Description: You are buying a brand new Collectors Showcase 101st Airborne Easy Company 506PIR Normandy Limited Edition Statue. This 101st Captain statue stands over 12" tall (1/6th scale). The statue is hand sculpted, hand assembled, and hand painted. Includes a metal helmet and Thompson submachine gun. With terrain pedestal and wood base. Also includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This is statue #2/500. This statue is brand new, never been removed from the box, still factory sealed and never been displayed. Will be pulled from a factory case. Limited to only 500. First 5 photos are of the item you will receive. Last 2 photos are stock photos. This item was among the first items released by the then new company Collectors Showcase. Released in 2007. Model # CS00187 Each statue is hand painted using techniques such as drybrushing and paint washes. Great details, right down to the mud encrusted SS helmet on the terrain base. The Normandy terrain itself is modeled with mud and grass. The Thompson even has a real leather sling. On June 5th, 1944 Easy Company of the 506th 101st airborne jumped behind enemy lines in France. By the morning of the 6th they attacked and destroyed a battery of German howitzers zeroed in on allied troops landing on Utah beach. By doing so they saved countless lives.
