Description: Fabulous Colors!! Antique handmade "EIGHT POINTED STAR" Quilt with patchwork border. Dates from the 1880s. LOVE the double pinks and brown print fabric combination! Large 16" stars. Some of the star fabrics haven't held up and are shredded. But, there is still SO much good! I hate to call this one a cutter quilt! LUSH and full quilting! Measures 80 x 90 Nicely and neatly made. Hand pieced and hand quilted. Hand quilted at 5-6spi. All cottons. Unbleached cotton sheeting on the back. Thin batting so it displays beautifully. I have not cleaned or treated this quilt. The only real damage is the fabrics that have shredded~the rest is near perfect! The binding is not worn. Has a few age spots. Laundry # written on one corner. No storage issues. No odors.
