Description: This is for an original 1956 World Series program with 2 tickets from the series between the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. Both teams would save money as the same program would be sold at both Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field. The fan that owned this program decided to turn it into a real masterpiece by taping newspaper articles and ticket stubs on nearly every page. There is a box score from every game taped on separate pages, along with some articles from games 5, 6 and 7. What sets this program apart from most is the fan taped his stubs from games 3 and 5 in the program. Game three would be a 5-3 Yankees win with Whitey Ford going 9 innings for the victory. Jackie Robinson would hit a single, one of the last hits of his career as he would only hit another single in game 4 and one in game 6. Jackie would also score one of the last runs of his career as he would score his last run in game 4 of the series. There is also a ticket for the Yankees Stadium Club which is extremely rare for game 3. Finally, there is a ticket stub for Don Larsens game 5 perfect game taped in the book. The ticket is only taped on both ends and could easily be taken out to be encapsulated as authentic or graded with a number. The program itself is in great condition and is unscored, but you have the box score of every game taped on separate pages Quite a scrapbook for a collector who prefers items like this as opposed to everything being separate. A tough combo to improve upon and a must for any serious World Series collector. Check out the scan and email with any questions.
