The guitar features 6-string configuration and a rosewood fretboard, bolt on maple neck, original frets, rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece, Kluson single line tuners, three original Speed Bump pickups, a 4 position rotary switch (1 neck, 2 middle, 3 bridge, 4 all three together, original single layer pickguard, original knobs (three volume and three tone), original nitrocellulose lacquer finish, making it a great addition to any collection. This guitar is a rare find and is perfect for anyone looking for a blast from the past vintage instrument. The package includes a heavy duty foam case pictured. I am assisting a friend who's father bought and played this guitar back in the 60's. The guitar was in storage for many years and very dusty. I was surprised after cleaning it up how beautiful it is. This model was sold under a lot of different department store brands and mail order houses back in the day; Spiegel, Western Auto, Mongomery Ward, Sears Roebuck, and who knows where else. The condition of the top is darn near flawless. The back is fairly clean with the exception of a few scratches here and there (see pics). Any cosmetic issues take place along the lower edge and bottom of the instrument. There is checking at the bottom (see pics for detail). The electronics are solid and work as they should. The neck is straight and the action very much playable. I took a picture of the sound hole where there is stamped a "P-3" which I'm assuming represents 3 Pickups. Keep in mind this was a budget guitar when sold new. The ONLY issue I encountered is at the 12 and 13th fret. The 13th is a tad high which makes the 12...well sound the 13th. A skilled guitar tech can easily remedy the issue. I am not that, so I left it alone. Other than that this is an awesome unique sounding instrument and I can very much imagine its usefulness in a studio recording situation. The guitar will be very well packed and secured in the case and the case will be shipped in a well packed box. I ship only within the continental United States.
