This striking action painting is executed in oil on canvas and features sharp elevated textural hatching and lines around geometrical blocks. This composition is dynamic, energetic and demonstrates the utmost sophistication and artistic quality. Colours include yellow, orange, red, blue, green, brown, white and black. The work is reminiscent and complimentary of Hans Hofmann, Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning works from this period. The painting measures approximately 25.75" height by 21.75" width in the frame. The painting's art surface measures approximately 24" height by 20" width. The painting is clean and in excellent original condition with no adverse issues. The bronze finished wood frame is original and may have some basic indications of time or use. This work is signed "John Williams" and dated "1969" in the lower left corner.
