This is a Real Salesman Sample of the ring that all of the players would have gotten. If you ever wanted to own or wear a Super Bowl Ring now’s your chance. This is the EXACT SAME Ring that Steve Young got and wears except that his ring has real diamonds and this one has CZs. This Ring is a 100% Genuine Balfour Salesman Sample Ring not one of the fakes or copies that have seen surfacing on the net throughout the years. What makes this ring different than those rings is this ring was made from the exact same die or mold as Steve’s actual ring was made. Most importantly it contains the “Proper Manufacture” Markings inside of the ring this is LGB 10K. LGB stand for the L.B. Balfour Company. What makes this ring so special is that for the 1994 49ers rings Balfour made a standard Salesman Sample ring with Young on the side but ALL of these rings were all non-gold and would have been marked LGB BGP which basically stands for the LG Balfour Company and Balfour Gold Plated. This ring I have up for auction is the ONLY real 1994 49ers Salesman Sample ring that is made in real 10K Gold and contains the “Proper Manufacture” Markings inside of the ring that has ever hit the market in all of the years I have been collecting rings and this spans over 30 years. Also engraved inside of the ring is a set of Balfour Serial numbers so they can track where it came from and to whom it was made for. When I obtained this ring I was told that there was a big east coast charity auction raising money and this ring was donated or provided by the Balfour Ring company or someone associated with the ring company. This might explain why you never see 10K gold samples out there of this ring. This ring wasn’t made for the typical salesman to show off to clients. This ring is in its Original condition as it was when it was made. This Sample has a small cut in the back of the ring. Most of the times this cut is filled in by a jeweler to make it completely closed. You can take it to any good jeweler to have it filled in. I chose to leave it original as it also proves it’s a real sample. The ring companies will sometime cut the backs out of rings so people can’t wear them or to discourage people from taking them and reselling them. As stated most of the time the ring is later on filled in by a jeweler as it’s a 10K Gold Ring. A non-gold sample ring that has a cut in the back can’t be repaired or filled in. This ring is a size 10 and it weighs in at a very Heavy 50.3 grams of 10K Gold. This is the closest you can get to owning a players Ring. If I had to choose from a 10K gold ring with Sample on the side vs a Non Gold ring with Young on the side I would think most people would tend to want the ring that’s closest to the players ring this being the 10K gold sample with CZ stones. Be aware there are both real Young non gold samples out there that exist and a ton of knock offs that have Young or YoungMVP on the side of the ring. These fakes are fairly easy to tell as the fakes won’t have the Balfour Markings on the inside and on the top of the ring there will NOT be as many CZ Stones on top. It can be hard to tell unless you see a real players ring or a real sample ring and compare the tops then it’s pretty easy to tell. Only the 1994 San Francisco 49ers ring is for sale in this auction.
