2000-2001 Aqua Marine Metallic USA Fender American Standard Stratocaster Guitar

Up for sale is this beautiful 2000-2001 USA made Fender American Standard Stratocaster Guitar in a beautiful Aqua Marine Metallic factory finish. I believe this color finish was discontinued as January 2002. This guitar is in amazing condition considering it’s 23 + years old. From all my research this color option was offered on the American Standard Series in 2000 which was the last year for the American Standard Series so this guitar is probably the last of those guitars with the production being late 2000 to early 2001 I’d have to say as the following year of 2001-2002 this color finish was not available for the American Series models which is what replaced the American Standard Series. I don’t know what factory pickups they put in these American Stratocaster guitars in 2000-2001 but they sound amazing. Better than the pickups in the new Stratocaster guitars in my opinion. The bridge and arm both look to be in extremely great shape for their age. Truss rod functions as it should. Frets are in good shape with only some slight indentations but nothing that affects the playability of the guitar. Frets have plenty of life left in them. There is only one tiny ding on this neck which is on the face of the headstock just under the word “Made” in the “Made In USA” underneath the Fender Script Logo. (See Pic) This guitar has spent its life in the case at my house just being pulled out and played a couple times every couple of months for the past 16 or so years that I’ve owned it. It has never left my house and has always gone right back in its case as with all of my guitars when they are not being played. Comes from a clean smoke free home. The finish on this guitar has only a couple small swirls in the clear mostly on the back. Hard to see but nothing major. I just wanted to point it out. The finish on this guitar is in excellent condition especially considering it’s age. Ask for pics if you need to see anything in particular. See the pictures and judge for yourself. Hard to believe this guitar is already 23 + years old. I cannot find any dings, dents, or major scratches in this guitar’s finish but it is 23 + years old. I can only find one tiny finish crack at the neck pocket on the Bass side and it looks to only be in the clear coat not the paint as I had to look extremely hard to even find it. The screw in style Trem arm is included along with a used Road Runner Polyfoam case that has some condition issues but will protect the guitar for shipping and should work for protecting the guitar for storage as it has done in my collection. I don’t believe the strap buttons are original to the guitar. They look to be Dunlop strap lock style strap buttons but I never had the strap with the other part of the strap buttons. These strap buttons were already installed on the guitar when I bought this guitar over 15 years ago. I’ve never played this guitar standing up but rather in my studio sitting down so I never had a need to replace them but you certainly can if you wish. I just put a fresh new set of D’addario strings 9 gauge extra light and intonated the guitar. I have this guitar set up with fairly low action however as with any guitar, you may want to have the guitar professionally set up to your liking but the guitar plays and sounds great as is.
