20th Century Boys English Language Manga Vol 1-12 Lot Viz Media 2009-2010 1st Pr

Description: This listing is for volumes 1 through 12 of the 2009-2010 English language manga edition of 20th Century Boys by Naoki Urasawa, published by Viz Media. All 12 volumes are first printings of this edition. Condition Details Volume 1 (and possibly Volume 7) are in “Acceptable” condition. The other ten volumes are in “Good” condition. Covers of all books have scratches/scuffs, edge/corner wear including small creases, and some soiling (See 15th Photo for an example) (the amount of all these things varies by book). Volume 2 has some more noticeable stain streaks to the back (See 16th Photo for example). Half of the books also have large “Borders” stickers on their back covers. The books might have a little yellowing to page edges, but it is hard to tell for certain since the pages are a cream color that makes it easy for yellowing to blend in. Pages of all books will also have some occasional edge wear and possibly occasional small handling (pinch) creases from being read. Volumes 10 and 11 both have magnet strips from the original bookstore awkwardly stuck on illustrations (See 17th/18th Photos). Bindings of all books are in good secure condition. Text of all books is readable and unobstructed. Volume 1 has a small area of liquid exposure to the bottom edge that causes a small ripple to the bottom of most of its pages. This also shows up (to varying degrees) as a small stain on the first 60 pages or so (See 19th Photo for an example of the most obvious version of this stain). Volume 1 also has a little stain to the top of the front cover (See 20th Photo). Volume 7 has an issue with ink transferring to facing pages, so that probably a dozen (or maybe a few more) pages have speckling in the illustrations (See Last 4 Photos for examples). This issue also shows up a bit in the other books (including Volume 1) and is almost definitely just an issue with the way they were originally printed. However, it shows up a lot in Volume 7 in particular. There are a couple other lesser issues with specific volumes. Volume 9 has a couple small but deep corner creases with a little soiling (Photo available on request). Also, volumes 10 and 12 have a tiny bit of soiling to the bottom of the text-block. In short, all of these books have been used and read. Only Volumes 1 and 7 (and possibly the back cover of Volume 2) have actual major issues, however. Please see included photos.
