Description: A pair of second generation down-filled Eames loungers dating to the early 60's paired with Jack Lenor Larson 'Caravan' velvet dated 1962. When I pulled the leather on these, I found a stamp on the hide dated 'April 1963' while the fabric is labeled '1962 Anita Askild for Jack Lenor Larson Inc'. It was important for me to keep these period correct since it is quite a deviation from the norm. We've all seen our share of black, tan, leather... I wanted to try something different while still staying true to the time. I was lucky enough to find some deadstock yardage of this material a few years ago, and these have been in the works since. They've been refinished and had all the shock mounts and back mounts replaced. Sold as a pair, but willing to separate.
