48 Pg D&M Official Rules 1926-Baseball Lawn Tennis Field Hockey Hand Ball-Rare

Description: Offered is the antique soft cover booklet "D&M Official Rules 1926-Base Ball Lawn Tennis Field Hockey Hand Ball", produced by the Draper-Maynard Co. of Plymouth, New Hampshire. In addition to the rules of the four sports, the booklet contains many ads for sporting goods made by the company, including ones mentioning baseball players Walter Johnson, Max Carey (with photo), Walter Lutzke and George Kelly. In addition to the ads, there are also several black and white diagrams. This is a rare, maybe unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find another copy for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The booklet is approx. 6" x 4" and contains 48 pages. It is in good to very good condition. The soft red and black picture cover has no tears or holes but there is a very small crease in the lower front and a slightly larger crease in the upper back. The white areas have yellowed slightly and there is some light soiling and spotting. A previous owner has written their name at the top of the front and also on the lower back. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They have yellowed but are generally clean and clear. The previous owner's name has also been written at the top of several pages within the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
