Description: ‘78 WHITE / BLACK FRANKY / FRANKENSTRAT TRIBUTE GUITAR: I don't actually play guitar, but I love them as pieces of art, especially the Frankenstrat, which is probably the most iconic guitar - ever... painted & lightly relic'ed by a very talented Franky fanatic… I had my guitar tech* make a few additions / revisions / enhancements / modifications / upgrades to it so it's a very professional setup. * MODS / TECH WORK - I’d put my guitar guy up against anyone’s - he works final assembly at PRS & is also a guitar tech - he’s brilliant / literally borderline Mensa (S. Zeller)I bought this W/B Franky a few years ago (the only remaining original parts are the body, the pickguard, the output jack, the “TONE” knob, & the [now non-functioning] “tone” pot [it was previously the working volume pot] - everything else has been replaced) - I don’t know the make of the body or the type of wood, sorry - it feels fairly light to me, though - I bought this particular guitar / body mainly because I really liked the professionalism & accuracy of the paint job / striping. Merely hang it on the wall as a museum piece to honor the king or break it out & play it like your favorite legendary guitar hero. =============== DESCRIPTION =============== (1) Very accurate Frankenstrat paint pattern - it does not have a shiny, glossy finish on it(2) I don’t know the make of the body or the wood type, sorry(3) Vintage Fender tremolo bridge - you can see “FENDER” stamped twice on each saddle(4) New / unused EVH Wolfgang black bridge humbucker(5) New / unused Bourns 500K low-friction volume pot(6) White ”TONE” knob on the volume pot - there is also a non-functioning (it’s not hooked up) “tone” pot (which was actually the previous volume pot before I had it replaced), with no knob (7) Brand new / unused genuine Fender Vintera ‘70s mod one-piece roasted-maple CBS-era / large-headstock Stratocaster neck - - -- - - • One-piece roasted maple- - - • Urethane satin on the back & gloss urethane lacquer on the fingerboard & the face of the headstock- - - • Early ‘70s “C” profile / shape- - - • 9.5" radius- - - • 25.5" scale length- - - • 42mm nut width- - - • Synthetic bone (melamine) nut- - - • 21.59mm thickness at 1st fret- - - • 23.11mm thickness at 12th fret- - - • 13.71mm headstock thickness- - - • 21 medium jumbo frets- - - • Bullet truss-rod adjustment nut at headstock- - - • Black dot position inlays (8) Accurate reflectors on the back - although the original white / black Franky version didn’t actually have the reflectors yet, I wanted to put them on(9) #4 screw eyes for strap hooks(10) "61071" stamped into the neck plate, using "the same mechanical stamping process" & "the same type (of) machine (that) Fender used 50 years ago" - it isn't laser engraved; it's actually stamped (by Ron Kirn)Smoke-free home; please see photos for condition & accuracy & please feel free to ask me any questions - I will do my best to try to answer them for you.$150 shipping - with full insurance (within the 48 contiguous U.S. states only - all other shipping handled via eBay's Global Shipping Program - please see details on eBay's Customer Service page).
