Description: Antique pocket knife from an estate sale out of Croton Ohio. THIS IS AN OLD ONE!! From what I have found online the earlier Wostenholm knives where marked "GEORGE WOSTENHOLM & SON" up until about 1830. After that time the "& Son" was dropped from the name. So, I would date this to the very late 1700's up to 1830. Two small blades and one file. It is marked in a few places including the spine of the file and on the tang of both blades. ALL ORIGINAL AND HAVE NOT BEEN ALTERED. 2 3/4" long when closed. Wear consistent with a knife from this time period. The blades have build up but may polish up if wanted. The two blades and file do open and close. No snap left. Both handles are all there along with the badge. Both handle have a crack as seen in pictures. GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY. GOOD CHANCE FOR AN ANTIQUE KNIFE COLLECTOR! Will be protected well and insured. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks Location E2
