The spoon is in a classical form, with a round-tipped handle. The piece is engraved with a lovely monogram of the initials HPBF. This spoon is a good weight for its size. The back is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George III’s head, a date letter Q for the year 1811 and a maker’s mark for Richard Crossley & George Smith IV. This piece is in fabulous condition, especially for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
