Description: Gorgeous old oak newel post ( aprox 23” tall see pics) with carved beading at top that has been appears to be held in place with a tiny finishing nail/ glue. Post is cylinder shaped with a slight taper moving from bottom to top. Post was pieced together, seams are visible but there appears to be no major flaws/damage to piece ( chips, cracks other than piecing seams, chips etc) other than 1 piece of beading at top, see pics.
