Beautiful Large Antique Burl Walnut Dresser Top Box

Description: This is an Beautiful Large Antique Dresser Top Box. The box has beautiful burl graining on the top and one side panel, and beautiful grain on the other sides as well. The wood is thought to be walnut but we do not know for sure. The drawer has a carved flower and leaf motif pull in high relief as seen. The dresser box is an estate piece and we do not know the age specifically.This box was originally integral to an antique dresser. It is a wonder piece that could be used for a variety of purposes. Back when we were selling at antique sales, we used it in our booth as a cash box to hold money, our receipt book, etc.The box has overall maximum dimensions of 15" x 15" x 5 1/4" high. The base measures 14 1/2" x 14 1/2". The inside dimensions of the drawer are 11 5/8" wide x 11 3/8" deep x 2 3/4" high. The drawer has finger joints as seen in a closeup photo.ConditionThe dresser box is structurally in excellent condition. This very old piece is overall in very good condition with a few issues to be noted: there is a small scrape or flaw on the finish on top as seen. there a few minor scuffs and scrapes on the upper railing around the top as seen. there is a small chip out of one of the carved leaves on the pull as seen circled in blue. there is a little minor staining on the inside floor of the drawer as seen, including a semi-circular brown stain. These are all fairly minor. Review the photos and make your own assessment of the condition as well. The box is offered as found / as seen / as described.
