They settled on the ‘Battledress, Serge’, or 1937 pattern, which was designed with the needs of mechanised infantry in mind.These trousers have two front slash pockets, a map pocket on the left thigh, a dressing pocket on the upper right leg, and a single rear pocket. They have the correct fittings for the attachment of braces as well as buttons for attaching to the P37 jacket.
