Description: This is a rarely encountered, highly desirable, vintage 1870's era, 9.25 inch tall, cornflower bluish aqua colored, blown-in-the-mold soda or beer blob-top bottle that is embossed "CHARLES HAIN / intertwined fancy lettered CH / LANCASTER, PA." within its slug plate. Its lower reverse area reads "THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO BE SOLD". This bottle exhibits substantial desirable crudity of manufacture, bearing lots of seed and elongated air bubbles trapped within its glass. There is an insignificant amount of ultra-light outside glass wear marks that do not detract from the superb displayability of this bottle in the least. Approximate dating of 1870-1880 era was determined by the fact that the body side seams end about one inch under the bottom of its blob-top. While antique Hain bottles from Lebanon, PA. are relatively common and somewhat frequently encountered, just the reverse is true regarding Hain bottles from Lancaster, PA...they are rare and very infrequently encountered. Small chip on the bottom of the bottle show in pics.
