Description: Super nice and cute silver astronaut costume jumpsuit with lightweight, detachable (Velcro) LED light-up rockets. This takes three AA batteries (included). Hypoallergenic. The photos of the blacked out face and from behind with hard wood floors are of my 3-year old nephew (rest are from Pottery Barn website). This is from when he tried it on when I originally bought it in September of this year. He was happy to try it on and practice trick-or-treating. But guess what? He absolutely refused to put it on/participate in trick or treating at all on Halloween day. This isn’t because there is anything wrong, just because he’s in his terrible twos! (Even though all the kids in his daycare class wore their costumes as well as his sister, etc. He just has to be different and stubborn!) Anyway, this is in absolutely new condition. He only wore it that one day for about five minutes; we only turned the rocket lights on twice for a short time. Otherwise it hung in his closet. It was $100 from Pottery Barn. I bought it because the quality was so nice, cute and substantial. It just looks very different than the cheap ones I saw on Amazon and so forth (if I knew then what I know now…I would have went cheap haha). The costume finally just went on sale at Pottery Barn for $78 for this size. My nephew is three months shy of age 4. He is slightly tall for his age and thin but not skinny. In most brands of clothes he is a 3T top and bottom. This fit him very nicely with a little room for clothes underneath. He probably just would have worn long johns underneath. If your child is on the heftier side, it might be a bit tight if you need to put thick clothes underneath. We didn’t worry about that since the weather where we are was predicted to be mild on Halloween (ended up being 82 degrees!). If your child wears 18-24 months or 2T now, I’d imagine this would be a great fit for next Halloween. Thanks so much.
