It can be displayed as either a wall hanging or table topper. The DIY quilt project is beginner friendly and comes together very quickly. It is perfect for handmade gifts! A great way to make a cheery holiday item without investing a lot of money in fabric. Measures: 27 inches square approx. Skill level: Confident Beginner! Have used a rotary cutter before and can sew an accurate scant 1/4 inch seam allowance. This is a good project if you have not made half square triangles before as you only make 16. Included in the kit: Instructions, of course! Quilt top is Moda Fabrics, Batting is Quilter's Dream polyester batting in the select weight, backing is Moda 200 thread count muslin, and the binding is Superior Solids. It is a zero-waste kit which means you won't have any fabric leftover. Items you need: A sewing machine, thread, iron, rotary cutter, cutting mat, quilt ruler that is at least 4 1/2 inches wide, basting spray or some other basting method, pins, Clover Wonder Clips or equivalent. In addition to routine quilting supplies you will need a specialty ruler for squaring up half square triangles. Previous knowledge of quilt top assembly, basting, quilting, and binding are required and are not taught in the pattern. There is a simple basting and quilting option suggested in the pattern.
