Description: If you are a collector of antique Christmas tree stands you won’t want to miss this very unique piece. Unlike most all antique cast iron stands that utilize a heavy cast iron base with thumb screws holding the tree in place, this stand is wholly unique. I searched Google as well as eBay and could not find another like it. This stand utilizes the mechanical advantage of the tree weight on the legs to exert an equal and opposite force holding the tree in place with the opposite side of the legs. It works perfectly. As I have shown in two of the pictures, one of the legs has an excellent old repair weld. The repair has no impact on the stand function.
