Please read below the variations we carry: Note - all of our Drum Sticks are Nylon Tipped and please note price is for TWO PAIRS Maple Drum Sticks are a very light wood giving easy control and a fast response (Rebound) Although not quite as durable as Hickory, it's light weight allows for a bigger stick without the added weight. The Nylon Tip gives off the brightest crisp sound and make the Stick very durable. Oak Drum Sticks are regarded as the most durable of the woods used for drumsticks. Oak sticks are naturally heavier and quite dense in the grain and are known to outlast other timbers such as Hickory and Maple Drum sticks. The downside of Oak is it absorbs a lot less of the stroke impact so they tend to make your hands tire more quickly. The Nylon Tip gives off a brighter crisp sound and makes the stick extra durable. Hickory Drum Sticks are said to be the most common timber used for Drum Sticks today. It is a solid timber making it very rigid (less rebound) but offers great attack. Hard wearing and the Nylon Tip gives off the brightest crisp sound and make the Stick very durable.
