Description: Early Derby Gold Gilt Floral Fluted Coffee Cup & Saucer Circa 1784-1806 AS IS Early British porcelain fluted coffee cup and saucer. Decorated with gold gilt floral designs. Marked on the bottom with the Derby crown mark in puce. This mark was used from 1784 to 1806. The cup has a 3/4 inch crack extending off the lip with an associated small chip. The saucer has an approximately 1 1/4 inch hairline through the center of the base. Both pieces have wear to the gilding and usage wear consistent with age. The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. JR
