Description: I am downsizing my collection of rare books and artifacts, this listing is for two tomb figurines and one brass stela/cartouche. I am not an expert in selling such things so feel free to message for more information and pictures! I will write below, all of the known details of these three artifacts I have collected since owning them. Tomb Figurines: "Ancient Egyptian Tomb Figurines, made to replace person whose body was lost or destroyed (flood, fire, in battle). These were found in the rubble of collapsed tombs during residential expansions, legally exported as part of a museum downsize (est. 1929). Beautiful artifacts approximately 4300 years old, Old Kingdom, Dynasty 5, reign of Nuiserre or later ca 2420-2389 B.C. Egypt, Memphite Region, Djoser pyramid, South Precinct possibly Saqqar." Larger Figurine : approximately 15 3/3 inches tall, weight 9 pounds. Smaller Figurine: approximately 14 inches tall, weight: 6.5 pounds. Nose of figurine damaged Figurines are made of rock or fired clay. Mummification cloth wrappings present, original paint is still present in parts, engravings including hieroglyphs. Bronze Relief Plaque Stela: Approximate dating and location originally found matches with the figurines. One of the small bottom legs is broken/missing. Approximately 6.25x2.25 inches in size dimensions. The style of art is very reminiscent of the tel-armana (ahkenaton) period in my opinion (large aten (sun)) featured). Please see photos for best idea of condition, feel free to ask for more!) I will include all paperwork with the artifacts including a provenance record from current owner to original American seller. The guaranteed authenticity card does not reflect this sell of these items. All guarantees originated with the original seller Tuscon Mineral and Gem World (which I may add has a stellar record in the community for selling legal and authentic egyptian artifacts). I personally cannot guarantee these to be authentic. (I don't have the tools or credentials!) I can give you my honest opinion. As a collector, nothing about these three artifacts gives an indication they are fake. From the cloth used, to the engraving method and art techniques everything stands out as being typical/correct. I do not believe them to be made as display pieces by a museum neither, (why do the full mummification wrappings on the figurines just to cut it open) but it is a possibility. Shipping will be insured with signature confirmation or local pickup is a possibility! Again I cannot guarantee the authenticity of these artifacts. I have given details known to me on these artifacts to the best of my knowledge.
