Description: I have for sale a Fender California Series black Fat Strat with Fender hardshell case in very good to excellent condition. California Series Stratocasters (& Teles) were made in 1997 & 98 in the USA but painted in Mexico. They're technically USA guitars, with USA hardware, Tex-Mex pickups (with bridge humbucker) and vintage tuners. It has a 5-position switch and works flawlessly on my amp. This guitar is a beauty, with gorgeous black paint, nicely figured maple neck and the original case & tremolo bar. Plastic shrink material is still on the tremolo cover at back, so it might look a little funny. The guitar has some light scratches on the back on the neck plate & upper bout (shown in close-ups) and plug dings by the jack on front, and the frets have no fret wear.
