Description: This is a visually striking and lovely Fine Epic Vintage Mid Century French Paris Cityscape Oil Painting on Wood, by the talented mid 20th century French Impressionist painter, known as Loré. I could not find any biographical information on this talented artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? This piece likely dates to the 1950's - early 1960's and depicts a lovely turn of the century Parisian cityscape scene in the Montmartre section of Paris, France. In the distance, the famed cathedral of Montmartre, known in French as the Sacré-Cœur Basilica can be seen, and on the small cobblestoned sidewalks and roads, horsedrawn carriages, a flower seller, elegantly dressed women, and a small cafe are visible. The overall image is imbued with a luminous deep gold paint, which shines brilliantly in natural light and under bright indoor light conditions. This is a largescale artwork, at approximately 26 1/4 x 58 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 16 x 48 inches. Very good condition for age, with a few speckles of tiny paint loss, and mild scuffing and edge wear to the original period vintage wood frame. Acquired from an old estate collection in Los Angeles, California. Due to the very large size, and heavy weight of this piece, S&H costs will be unavoidably high.
