Description: LONG WAVE UV Interesting large specimen of golden yellow Calcite with veins of purple Fluorite. Massive specimen with a couple areas of well formed stacked Fluorite crystals that need magnification to see clearly ( I will add a marker to the spots).The colors are very rich and the piece is largely translucent. The Fluorite fluoresces blue and the Calcite orange/red under long wave UV light. This is part of a recent collection of rare older mid-western minerals from a very selective collector that I obtained some of recently. From Cave in Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois.
