I am the original owner, and it's been stored inside in air conditioned space for 40+ years! 🔽🔽Please see the very end of the description for the complete list of 25 books and authors.🔽🔽 The Franklin Library "100 Greatest Books of All Time" was a subscription-only series of premiere, genuine leather-bound and gold-gilded books sold between 1974 and 1982, ONLY available as a subscription. The Franklin Library was a division of The Franklin Mint that produced fine collector edition leather bound books over three decades ending in the year 2000. For this reason all Franklin Library editions are now considered "out of print" and will never be available again. Not only are these some of the finest printings of the books ever made, these are some of the finest copies you'll ever find! This collection of 25 books was an addendum to the "100 Greatest" known colloquially as the "Plus 25". The set of 25 additional books was only made available to purchasers of the 100 Greatest Books subscription set. This is a very rare printing, and together with the original set comprise the complete 125 book in the series! Franklin Library produced other (more basic quality) editions of these, and other books, but none to the exquisite degree of these 125 books. In fact, I have never seen a complete collection of all 25 of these "Plus 25" books for sale! It would be hard to even individually piece together these editions.(Note that I also have for sale the complete, original "100 Greatest" set!) The original price of each these books in the 70s/80s was $38 + Shipping, which was over $200 (or $5,000 total) adjusted for inflation to today's money! These are some of the finest quality books ever released, and this is one of the best-condition copies you'll ever find of a 40+ year old book!
