Description: This listing is for a Ghostbusters "Gizmo" kit based on a Sanyo ICC-808D calculator board that was worn on the uniform in the 1984 movie. It also includes a complete "Daughter board" kit and the cable to connect the daughter board to the Gizmo board. The main item that is needed but not included for a complete Gizmo set is a holster to hold the main Gizmo board (the daughter board kit includes a belt clip). I do offer a hand-made real leather holster with integrated 9V battery holder in another listing:https://www.ebay.com/itm/196419348423 A previous run of these kits was used to build the Gizmo boards for use in the Ghostbusters Afterlife movie. The last two images in this listing show the prop builders (my beard is nowhere near that awesome) holding the finished kits and also a picture of the full set of boards that were made from my kits for the Afterlife movie. The circuit boards for both the main "Gizmo" and also the smaller "Daughter board" are the exact same boards as used in the Afterlife props. Many of the components are also identical, but since I source parts from different places and surplus electronics shops, some components may not all be identical to those props. The main difference is the use of different display tubes. The IV-9 display tubes used in the actual movie props are exceedingly scarce (and pricey) so I decided to use display tubes that are more readily available. These included display tubes come in a large range of random colors (shown in the images above) so I sort them into similar colors for each set of 8 that are included in these kits. No way for you to select a color but all 8 of your tubes will be close color matches. I had a set of 8 "mottled" blue colored display tubes that were unusual so used those for the kit I built up for myself and for getting updated pictures of the instructions and the images shown in this listing. *** This is a kit and it does require assembly! ***It is recommended to solder in most parts, but many could be glued instead. The illumination circuitry does _require_ soldering to operate. The illumination circuitry is designed to be powered by a standard 9V battery (not included).
