All Mechanical (Except Engines / Transmissions / Transfer Case / All Axles / Carrier / Axle Assembly) parts are warranted for a period of 24 months from the purchase date, (view Terms and Conditions). We are offering a 24 month warranty on non-driveline items and 12 month on driveline items. This warranty does not cover installation labour or any additional expenses that may result from a defective product. . Please make sure that the part you ordered fits before cutting, painting, altering or final installation. Altered items and custom orders are not refundable or returnable. Please inspect the parts immediately after receiving your order. The warranty does not cover failure due to abuse, misuse, improper repairs or maintenance, installation, alteration, or modifications. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, and consequential or subsequent damages. If a replacement is not available, a full refund for the cost of the part and original shipping paid will be issued. (at its election) agrees to reimburse the customer, or repair or replace a covered component if the covered component fails as a result of failure of one or more of the internal lubricated parts within the component during the stated warranty period from the date of purchase, while the component is being used under the conditions and manner specified by its original manufacturer. invoice terms This agreement is provided to the original purchaser only, is not transferable, and does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect or accidents. NOT OTHER AGREEMENT – There are no other agreements between the parties with components purchased except as stated in this document. Several different warranty coverages exist. Please consult the front of your invoice to see which warranty your part is covered under. In the event no specific warranty is stated on the front of your invoice, your purchase is covered by the Standard Warranty. Any improper use, abuse (including but not limited to overheating or low oil in engines and transmissions), racing, off-roading, neglect, careless handling, damage done by improper installation or repairs, removal or modification of any factory part, or removal of a part from a vehicle in which it was first installed after purchase from Robertson’s Auto Salvage shall void all warranties. STANDARD WARRANTY: This parts only warranty will protect the original purchaser for a period of 6 months from the invoice date for replacement of a failed part. This warranty DOES NOT include any payment of labor charges associated with replacing a failed part. 30, 60, or 90 DAY WARRANTY: This parts only warranty will protect the original purchaser for a period of 30, 60, or 90 days from the invoice date for replacement of a failed part. this warranty DOES NOT include any payment of labor charges associated with replacing a failed part. The front of the invoice will list the length of the warranty. Core Returns: If there is a core charge on a part, that core may be returned for a refund of the amount charged. Core returns must be drained of all fluids, assembled and complete as they were sold to you with the original containers and must be in approved rebuildable condition. Bent or broken housings must be approved prior to purchase. Cores must be returned within 30 days to qualify for full core refund. NO WARRANTY/CORE: if so marked on the front of the invoice, there is no warranty on the component(s) and they are nonreturnable, nonrefundable, and nonexchangeable. PARTS ONLY EXTENDED WARRANTY: This warranty (available at additional cost and not available on all products) will protect the original purchaser from the date of purchase for the period specified on the front of the invoice. The front of the invoice MUST specifically state duration of extended parts only warranty. In the event of an approved claim under this warranty coverage, Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. will replace part free of charge, or in the event no other part is available, a refund will be issued. LABOR WARRANTY: This warranty (available at additional cost and not available on all products) will protect the original purchaser from the date of purchase for the period specified on the front of the invoice. The front of the invoice MUST specifically state the total dollar amount which will be covered. In the event of part failure, Robertson’s Auto Salvage will pay for labor up to $85 per hour for the removal and replacement of such component(s) or component part(s) at a State Licensed Repair facility per the published time schedule for such repair not to exceed the block amount purchased by the customer. All repairs must be approved in writing by Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. BEFORE the repair work is initiated. Failure to receive prior written approval will void any labor coverage and payments. Labor warranty can be purchased alone or in conjunction with Parts Only Warranty. Labor warranty only active during part warranty. Warranties are not refundable and only good for a single use. Additional labor warranty can be purchased on replacement. Any and all labor payouts are capped at 200% of purchase price of drivetrain. COVERAGE AND LIMITATIONS ENGINE: Coverage includes the engine long block assembly, including all internal lubricated parts, i.e. rings, pistons, crankshaft, main bearings, connecting rods and pins, camshafts and bearings, timing chain gears, rockers arms, valve springs, guides, and seats, push rods, lifters, and oil pump. Additionally, the engine head(s), block and cylinders will be covered if they are damaged solely as a result of mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components specified above. The vehicle cooling system must be flushed and in good working order including cooling fans. Accessory items, including but not limited to electrical components of all types (distributor, alternator, all sensors and electrical control devices), fuel systems (including carburetors, fuel injection system(s), fuel pump), water pump, thermostat, freeze plugs, manifolds, oil pan and valve covers, pollution controls, gaskets, filters, mounts, linkages and fluids are not covered by this agreement. TRANSMISSION: Coverage includes all internal lubricated parts contained within the transmission case. The transmission housing itself will be covered if damaged solely as a result of mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated parts contained within the transmission case. REIMBURSEMENT FOR PARTS: Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. may elect to reimburse the customer for the purchased component(s) or component parts at an amount equal to the purchase price for the component(s) or components parts covered under this Agreement which was paid to Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. by the customer. LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTY PAYMENTS: The maximum to be paid by Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. for the repair, replacement, or refurbishment of the component(s) purchased by customer shall not exceed the original price paid by the customer unless the component(s) are covered with a parts and labor warranty. IMPORTANT NOTE: Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. reserves the right to inspect the component(s) or part(s) covered under this Agreement PRIOR to any repair, replacement of, or reimbursement for such component(s) is authorized. Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. also reserves the right to refuse coverage for any parts replacement, repair, reimbursement or labor charges not agreed to prior to said charges. 30 DAY RETURN POLICY: A part returned undamaged and in its original condition within 30 days of the purchase date may be credited at management discretion. Said returns will incur a 25% restocking fee and any return fright/shipping fees. PARTS NOT PICKED UP WITHIN 60 DAYS: If a part is not picked up with 60 days of purchase date will have sale voided, and part returned into inventory. It will be customers responsibility to call in and request refund, at which time a restocking fee of 25% will be applied to refund. THIS AGREEMENT AND LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE NULL AND VOID IF: 1. A part returned undamaged and in its original condition within 30 days of the purchase date may be credited at management discretion. The customer does not use new oil, seal(s), filter(s), and parts prior to the operation of the purchased component(s). 3. The components are not installed by a state licensed repair facility within 30 days of the date or purchase. 4. Damage to a purchased component is caused by a noncovered component(s) or part(s) or any component(s) or part(s) not purchased from Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc 5. The customer fails to follow the maintenance requirements provided by the manufacturer and/or fails to provide proper service documents. 6. Warranty is void if heat tabs are melted. RETURNS POLICY GENERAL: 1. Robertson Auto Salvage offers replacements, repairs and refunds in accordance with Consumer Law and on the terms set out in our Warranty Policy and in this Returns Policy. 2. Before making a purchase please read these policies so that you understand your rights and what you can expect from us. The 30-day period starts when you take possession of the part. No labor warranty is provided. Consumer Law 1. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Consumer Law. 2. We offer repairs, replacement or refund in accordance with Consumer Law. If you need to return an item, please open the return, and select the reason "I changed my mind". Once that is done a return label will be issued. Cancellation and Change of Mind 1. In the event that you receive the products you have purchased but that you simply change your mind or decide you no longer require the goods, we may, at our discretion, offer you a refund or exchange provided that: (A) You notify us within 7 Days of receipt. (B) The goods are NOT electrical or electronic components. (C) The goods were not specially procured for you. (D) You meet all freight costs involved in the supply and return of the goods. Goods Damaged in Transit 1. In the event that that the goods you ordered were damaged during delivery: (A) Please contact us as soon as possible. (B) Any damaged product must be returned as soon as possible including the packaging. 2. You must contact us immediately you become aware of any fault in goods supplied by us. Please quote you invoice number. 3. The period of the warranty is from the date of invoice. Our basic warranty is a 6 Month parts only guarantee – labour costs will not be met. Other warranty periods may apply. 4. The decision to repair OR to replace a faulty part is at our discretion. Exceptions 1. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this policy we may refuse to provide a repair, replacement or refund for goods if: (A) You misused the said goods in a way that caused the problem. (B) The goods were not in fact faulty when that was given as the reason for their return. (C) You knew or were made aware of the problem(s) with the said goods before we supplied them. (D) Any other exceptions applicable under Consumer Law. Shipping Costs for Returns: 1. In the event the goods you have purchased fail to meet one or more of the consumer guarantees we will meet the cost of shipping, but only after prior consultation. 2. For goods returned as per clause “Cancellation or Change of Mind” you, the purchaser, MUST meet shipping costs. 3. If you cannot provide a commercial business address, we can deliver this part to a freight terminal for your pick-up at no additional charge.
