This size works with most modern grandfather clocks that are cable or chain drive. This measures 60 mm wide x 245 mm long (about 2 3/8" x 9 5/8") on the outside and approximately 57 mm (about 2 1/4") on the inside. Complete with caps, center rod, top hook, and bottom nut.
