A note to those with a love of mathematical beauty: the 11 plates of sculptural renderings of parametrically defined 3-d objects are fantastic - were I still in the classroom I would have purchased this book for my office. The interior, with its gorgeous plates, appears to be flawless; the front board shows no wear, discoloration or damage; the same can be said of the spine except for a bump at its top right corner. At first glance the rear board appears to be as good as the front, but closer examination reveals two (perhaps related) details: approximately half of the satin is darkened, and the actual board is slightly warped and will not lie flat (see photos). It also has a few thin scratches near the top. The binding is good, but the boards of this heavy book feel a bit loose. Finally, the dust jacket is missing, so we cannot grade this book as any better than good. But it is still a beautiful book.
