Description: Indian Wars - AMES U.S. Model 1833 DRAGOON SABER - Dated 1836 The Dragoon sword has the following markings on the guard: JM & HRC Ord. - NP Ames Cutter, Springfield 1836 on the blade, other side has United States. The first loop of wire on the handle has been replaced with smooth wire, the rest is all original. The leather grip shows a little wear. The blade has one spot of pitting, the rest is bright with some age spots. The blade has 7 small nicks, but they are so small hard to photograph. The scabbard is a dark patina - No dents or dings.
