They look great and have a lot more to give to someone who likes to run a lot in the winter months or for wet hiking trails. They run true to size, they are not for a wider foot (which is why I'm selling them). Please note - there is some wear right next to the toggle that tightens the top of the shoe. This does not effect the functionality of the shoe at all, but it is obvious to the eye, please see our photos of this wear. A shoe with an integrated gaiter designed for off road running in winter months, also great for winter hikes as they are GoreTex. If you are looking for a warm, waterproof, durable, high quality, all mountain shoe with a built in gaiter and top notch traction that can handle the worst that winter weather has to offer, this is your shoe. Though the Crossover is a mountain trail shoe by design, I find that it would also make a great shoe for running snowy, wet roads and paths. With impeccable traction and great waterproofing, for snowy, sloppy road conditions, I would prefer this shoe to an all weather road shoe with lesser traction. An airmesh and microfiber upper helps to maintain breathability, while still retaining the durability you need from a trail runner. A Gore-Tex Extended Comfort lining ensures that your feet stay comfortable all day, without getting all wet and clammy along the way. The Frixion AT rubber sole gives excellent traction in anything from snow, to mud, and everything in between. As if all this wasn't enough, La Sportiva turned these beasts into the ultimate winter-warriors by attaching a water-repellent gaiter, to ensure that nothing gets at your foot without your permission.
