Description: Large padded photo album from the late 1800s, containing 49 family photos from multiple generations. Very heavy (6.5 lbs) with a beveled mirror cover centerpiece staring “Our Friends”. Gilt page edges and a very interesting working metal latch. Photos include adults, children, some apparent soldiers (Civil War?), and even one florally-adorned coffin. Based on photographer information, the family was from Pennsylvania and the name “John Guertler” is penned on one photo. Condition: Some rubbing to the padding of the cover and significant wear to the bottom inch or so of the spine. All pages attached but some cracking to hinge between pages. The bottom edges of most of the photo frames are partially torn from inserting the photos originally. Latch in perfect working order and mirror unmarked. Overall, Good condition copy of a one-of-a-kind piece.
