It was a sponsor of the Radio program “The Adventures of Superman” radio series and "Tom Corbett-Space Cadet".One of PEP’s advertising slogans was “The Sunshine Cereal”.Pep was one of the first fortified cereals with an infusion of vitamins in the 1930’s. Pep faded from popularity as public tastes changed and was discontinued in the 1970’s. But, in 1945 Kellogg inserted a prize in the form of pinback buttons like the one we offer here into each box. There were five series of characters, with 18 different buttons in each set for a total of 90 buttons. However, the Superman button was present in each set.
