Description: About this itemWhat makes a vase desirable is, in many instances, found in its shape characteristics. Produced by the McCoy Pottery Company in the 1950's, this torpedo shaped vase is narrow just below the middle, then dramatically flairs up to the top opening. The exterior is artfully embossed with randomly spaced overlapping horizontal rings from top to bottom and further defined by two flat handles that start at the top rim and extend along the vase downward for over 5 inches. The green gloss glaze is uneven which adds to the visual depth and appeal while possessing a certain translucent effect. With item 318, it stands 8.5" tall, 6.5" wide handle to handle, and 5" at the bottom. There is some drippy, uneven glaze, glaze pops and visible mold lines which is atypical for McCoy pieces. The bottom is marked McCoy USA. This timeless style will make a lovely accent piece for your home or office. Thanks for looking! Please add me to your list of favorite sellers and visit often. Thank you!
