This is non fiction and is not to be confused with the fictional "Rob Roy" by Sir Walter Scott. A scarce book. No other copies appear to be for sale on the web at present and I could not find any recent auction records Book measures approx 5.75" x 3.5". Contemporary (perhaps not original) binding of one-quarter leather with marbled boards. Front hinge cracked and only held by the strings. Rear hinge intact but cracked. Endpapers have light foxing. The book is a memoir that provides a detailed account of the Scottish Highlands and its people, with a particular focus on the notorious outlaw Rob Roy and his family. The author, whose name is not specified, recounts his personal experiences and interactions with the people of the Highlands, including Rob Roy himself. The book includes anecdotes and stories about Rob Roy's exploits, as well as his family and their involvement in the history of the Highlands. The author also provides insights into the culture and traditions of the Highlanders, their way of life, and their struggles against English oppression. A fascinating account of a unique and storied region of Scotland, and an important historical document that sheds light on the life and times of one of its most famous figures.
