Description: For sale is a vintage Nakamichi 3-head dual capstan cassette deck. This model features "classic" Nakamichi transport which is proven to be more reliable than the newer Sankyo type transports. It features integrated oscillators for 400Hz and 15KHz along with pots for fine adjustment of Bias and Level values for each tape type. This deck has been serviced and the following was done: New belts; New idler tire; Frozen pinch roller arms disassembled, cleaned and lubed; Tape speed adjusted with 3KHz reference tape and digital counter; Playback and recording azimuth adjusted with reference tape; Recording tested with integrated 400Hz and 15kHz oscillators and external source; All deck functions were tested and found to perform as expected. Cosmetics are good for the age with small dents on the upper left corner of the face plate and rear left corner of the case, scratches on top of the case.
