Description: This is a beautiful reproduction, French doll by the well-known artist Neva Wade Garnett. The the marking on the back of the dolls head reads 1987 Bebe Jumeau Calli Lou. Neva Wade Garnett is well known in the doll making world for re-creating the most beautiful antique artist reproduction dolls. Neva’s mother Clair Wade worked with Emma clear in the 1940s so Neva became a doll maker. She worked mainly in the 1970 to 1980s but her dolls are very individualized and all handmade from head to toe. She took on the name Calli Lou from the book the doll maker and signed her dolls Calli Lou. This beautiful doll measures approximately 18 inches tall. She is fully jointed, and the whole body looks like plastic /comp body with a bisque head beautifully painted. The wig is human hair with little braids on the top of the head also Doll‘s ears are pierced with small wire loops. This Doll‘s eyes are glass brown color .See photos .The doll has some minor scuffs and a little bit of yellowing from age. Otherwise, this doll is in very good condition.
