Description: Our Big Red Story Book, by David H. Russell and Odille Ousley, published by Ginn & Co. of Boston in 1957. This elephant folio sized book (25 1/2" X 18 1/4") was created for primary school teachers to use as an aid in reading lessons. Red book cover is designed with to stand on it's own with incorporated folding easel, and metal clips inside book hold pages open. 30 interior pages (24" X 16 7/8" )are delightfully illustrated with the adventures of Betty, Tom, Susan, and dog Flip. Poster-sized pages have images on both sides of the page and are 3-hole punched, and held in book with metal rings. Overall, book is in good condition, with some scuffing, wear, and slight losses to cover from use. Interior pages are overall good, although some foxing and staining from metal rings is present. Pages are suitable for individual framing, with great nostalgic illustrations. Book is well loved but not well stored- in good but not best condition.
