Description: This is an exceptional Bowie style Hunting Knife with a full 5” spear point blade that is keenly sharp, equally on each side, having median line and the original choil on each side, above a generous ricasso. It has probably had some ever so light sharpening, not very noticeable. The Carbon steel has areas of tiny pitting scars/tarnish that are not distracting. The stamping is; E.M. DICKINSON/SHEFFIELD/ENGLAND. Note “wear” to the stamping, not entirely clear. This English firm was around c1870-1940 and sold to Needham, Veall & Tyzack. The blade is a full 5”. The full, oval guard is nickel silver with zero wiggles. Steel cutlers pins hold exceptional/awesome genuine stag hafts appearing as undamaged and well matched. The leather sheath is in very good condition w/ some wear and a repair to the belt loop, which used some clear glue. I do not see any signs that there were any metal mounts, but could have been? Please examine the photos which are a part of the description. Ask any questions.
