Description: This is a custom upgraded Pinch Roller for the Panasonic RQ 830s TNT 8 track Player.Photo shows the upgraded roller you get and the old ones it replaces.They are made of rubber for longer life and better gripping power. These perform much better than the original equipment.I have serviced these since they were new, and the old plastic rollers are always cracked.This is the number one failure of this deck.Occasionally you will have to bend your roller housingback to its original position. These get bent when tapes are forced in or out.The pinch roller should move freely even though slightly larger.I have used this same pinch roller in thousands of these Panasonics.After removing drivetrain from plastic case, remove tension spring from rear.Then swing the pinch roller out and remove its holding pin.Remove, then replace with new roller and use adhesive to hold pin in place.This is about the only place I use 5 Second Fix.Clean, Oil and change the belt if desired. You are already inside.Don't forget to demagnetize the head and path.
