It is an original, 1st Edition. It was printed at The Country Life Press. There are 8 parts and an epilogue. The book has 299 pages. This is a Hardcover book. It is approximately 8 by 5 & 1/2 inches in size. It has the original dust jacket. The jacket is worn and does suffer from several tears in addition to scuffing and wear, especially along the edges. The boards are in very good condition and there is no damage from moisture, soiling or insects. The inside covers (front and back) / endpapers are in good shape, with no tears, soiling or pulling away. There is an inscription on the inside of the dustjacket in blue ink that I believe says "Literary Guild" and also an inscription on the top right side of the first page of the inside cover, also in ink that I believe reads " Marjorie M. Brown, May 18, 1943). Aside from those marks, the inside pages are in excellent shape and are free of soiling and marks or writing of any kind in pen, pencil, marker, crayon or highlighter. In addition the page corners are not bent, folded, dog-eared or curled. The binding is tight and there are no torn or missing pages and all pages turn freely. The book has not been exposed to moisture, does not have an unpleasant odor and has been stored inside of a plastic tote and comes from a smoke-free home.
