Description: US Army, Infantry branch of service side button for the 1881 helmet. Die stamped, non magnetic (so solid brass). Uncleaned, but should polish up if you wish. Unused old stock, and show a lot of tarnish and storage dings and marks. The button measures approximately 1” across. The two mounting brads are soldered to the reverse and measure approximately 1 1/2” long.
