Description: Leucanthemum is a genus of flowering plants in the aster family, Asteraceae. Commonly known as a daisy (e.g., ox-eye daisy, Shasta daisy), "daisy" can also refer to numerous other genera in the Asteraceae family. It is mainly distributed in southern and central Europe. Some species are known on other continents as introduced species, and some are cultivated as ornamental plants. Leucanthemum is a highly floriferous and robust, free-flowering herbaceous perennial valued for its abundant floral display and disease resistance. Blooming for weeks from early to late summer, the flowers are pollinated primarily by insects, including beetles, flies, wasps, and butterflies. It is very easy to grow, making it an excellent choice for perennial borders, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens, or prairies and meadows. Growing tips: 1. Leucanthemum superbum thrives in full sun and prefers moderately fertile, moist, but well-drained soil. It can tolerate light shade. Consider planting it along borders, in patio containers, or in your cut flower garden, spacing the plants 18 inches apart. 2. To extend the blooming period, deadhead the flowers after they have finished blooming. 3. Water the plants once a week, or more frequently during extreme heat. USDA Hardiness Zone(s): 5-9 🌱Each seedling comes in a small plug-size 1" X 1" X 1 1/4” container. 🌱 ***Please understand that these are live plants. We try our very best to pack & and ship out the healthy plant as soon as we receive your order. Oftentimes, leaves will experience some yellowing or damage in shipping transit. However, the new growth will become the normal shade of green once the plant recovers from shipping. The plant you will receive may be slightly different from the photos in the listing since no two plants are the same. If you receive a plant that is damaged more than the normal stress of shipping, as stated above, please notify us with photos of the package and plants within 24 hours of receiving. As always, you can call or message us with specific questions. We guarantee the viability of your order and provide support to help your plants thrive in their new environment.Thank you!
