Description: Here's a copy of the Deluxe Edition of the classic word game Scrabble, by Selchow & Righter. The rule book has a 1966 copyright date, so this is probably from the 1960s or 1970s. This copy has a board with a plastic grid to lock letters in place. It has white tiles with black letters, and a felt circle pad on the board bottom that allows the board to rotate on a smooth tabletop. It has red plastic tile racks with built-in score trackers. If you want a complete and functional game, this is a nice option. If you want a box to look pretty on the shelf, it's not for you. This copy is generally in good condition. The board has some wear and fading, the box is intact but with some wear and all four corners of the box top are reinforced with cardboard corners. The box has some general wear and some pretty serious marks and stains, but the components are unaffected. The tiles are all here, but some have a bit of wear to the letters. The pegs for the scoring track are not included, but I'm sure you can find some sort of replacement. There's a canvas bag from a bank included to use as a tile draw bag. There are some score sheets included, but the pad is partially used. Grab this cool vintage Scrabble game now.
