Description: RARE & ORIGINAL Mortgage Schedule of Payments. From SEARS, ROEBUCK & Co. Dated March 23, 1925. The mortgage schedule is hand-typed on a 8 1/2" x 14" legal size piece of what appears to be ledger style paper. Payments are broken down in to 59 monthly payments of $15.00, and one final payment of $645.00, for a total of $1500.00. Total interest payments are added up to $39.60. Payments began April 23, 1925, and ended March 23, 1930. All payment instructions are included in two paragraphs. Account number is shown as ML 20001. Many payment dates are noted in pen, handwritten on right edge of paper. Can any of us today imagine when a mortgage would have been this simple? There is no reference on this one page, but mortgage was probably for one of the Sears Home Kits that were sold during this era. I'll place the page inside a plastic sleeve and add a piece of white foam board for protection, while mailing by USPS First Class in a bubble envelope. I'll mail the same day, or next day after PayPal payment is received.
