Description: Stargate -SG1- 160mm active Milky Way Desktop model with DHD and stone base "Milky Way Stargates are the second known model of Stargate designed by the Ancients. They are 6.7 meters in diameter and weigh roughly 29 metric tons. They are dark grey in appearance with red-orange coloured chevrons. The triangular lower half of the Stargate's top chevron extends and retracts while locking a symbol. The glyphs are built into an inner ring. Most of the gates are built into a stone platform with a stairway for easy access. Those that aren't have often been moved from where they were first found." The gate itself has been 3D printed in photosensitive resin in 3 parts which are painted individually and detailed with various paints before being sandwiched together. The event horizon has been printed in blue resin and finished with an automotive clear coat to give it a truly unique water like appearance. The stone base has also been 3D printed in photosensitive resin and finished with various paints to give it a stone like appearance. The DHD has been been 3D printed in photosensitive resin in two parts with the red centre gem printed in transparent red resin and clear coated to give it a glass like appearance. The reminder of the DHD has been painted in various paints to give it an authentic finish that matches the gate model.
