Description: Here we have a rare copy of The Beatles' Yesterday and Today 3rd state butcher cover album from 1966. This album cover depicts the infamous photograph that was quickly pulled from shelves due to its offensive nature. This particular copy is the 1st issue mono pressed on the black Capitol 'color band' labels. I believe the record is a Scranton pressing, and the cover was printed by Imperial Packing Co. The record is in VG- condition, with lots of surface scratches and scuffs. There is one notable mark on Side 1 Tracks 4 & 5 that is slightly feelable but does not cause the record to skip. It emits a soft popping noise when played. The rest of the record plays well, with pops and crackles here and there. The cover is in G+ condition, with portions of the cover being torn down to the bare cardboard. The seams have splits. The previous owner (moron) drew mustaches on each of The Beatles' faces. The back cover has some stains. Please see all the pictures to determine the condition. Overall, this butcher cover is still presentable and would make a perfect starter copy. This item is being sold as is and as found. Thank you!
