The shipped-with in-store battery testers are dead. THESE BOXES HAVE NEVER BEEN OPENED. If you need them to talk you will have to unbox them and replace the batteries. I am assuming that can be done. As I have never opened them, I am not sure. I do know for sure that the batteries are not working. They are boxed and ready to be shipped to you.
